NormaTec Recovery Boots
Our recovery suites are equipped with NormaTec recovery boots, renowned for their advanced compression technology. Watch our instructional video on YouTube to learn how to properly use the NormaTec boots: NormaTec Boots Instructional Video
Using the NormaTec Boots
To use the NormaTec recovery boots, follow these steps:
- Putting on the Boots: Sit down and slide the boots on, similar to putting on a pair of pants. Ensure they are fully zipped up before starting your session. The zipper should be on the top, and make sure the boots are not bunched under your hamstrings. Position your heel at the end of the boot, and the attachment should come up to the top of your thigh. Once you’re comfortably in the boots, connect them to the hose and begin your session.
- What to Wear: You can wear any comfortable pants or shorts during your session. Ensure your pockets are empty and that there are no bunches of fabric that may cause discomfort.
- Session Duration: The recommended duration for using the NormaTec recovery boots in SoulRevive is 15minutes.
- Safety Precautions: It’s important to be aware of any contraindications or reasons why you shouldn’t use the compression boots. These include:
- Acute pulmonary edema
- Acute thrombophlebitis
- Acute congestive cardiac failure
- Acute infections
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- Episodes of pulmonary embolism
- Wounds, lesions, or tumors at or near the site of application of boots
- If increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
- Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application of boots
Sauna
Our exclusive recovery suites feature a traditional sauna, offering a rejuvenating and relaxing experience. Here’s how to make the most of your sauna session:
- Entering the Sauna: Step inside the sauna room and adjust the temperature settings according to your comfort level.
- Sauna Attire: You can wear a towel or a swimsuit during your sauna session.
- Sauna Session Duration: Spend 10-15 minutes inside the sauna, allowing your body to gradually acclimate to the heat.
- Proper Posture and Relaxation: Sit or recline on the sauna benches, maintaining proper posture and allowing your body to relax and unwind.
- Hydration: Stay hydrated by drinking water before and after your sauna session.
Hot/Cold Baths
Our exclusive recovery suites also offer hot and cold baths to provide therapeutic benefits for your body. Here’s how to properly use them:
- Hot Bath: The hot bath is set at approximately 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit). Immerse yourself in the comfortably warm water and relax your muscles. Spend 5 minutes in the hot bath to promote blood flow and relaxation.
- Cold Bath: The cold bath is set at approximately 4 degrees Celsius (39 degrees Fahrenheit). After the hot bath, immerse yourself in the cold water for 1-3 minutes. The cold temperature may reduce inflammation and aid recovery.
What to Wear: During your sauna and recovery bath sessions, you can wear a swimsuit. All clients are asked to shower prior to using the baths and after the sauna experience. No dirty gym wear is permitted in our exclusive suites.
We invite you to experience the benefits of our exclusive recovery suites, designed to optimize your recovery and take your performance to the next level.
